The Venue
The Hotel Grand Chancellor
Hobart Tasmania
Hobart is the Capital of the most Southern State. In August we shall be in mid - winter and the weather may well be cold, wet and windy, however our welcome will be warm.
Situated on the Hobart waterfront and overlooking Constitution Dock, the venue is within walking distance of the CBD, museums, Federation Concert Hall
Mount Wellington, Hobart is arguably the most picturesque of State Capitals.
Flights from the mainland to Hobart are frequent and the airport is about a 40 min drive from the venue, but there is limited capacity so it would be wise to book your preferred flight in good time.
If you prefer a more leisurely trip, the Bass Strait ferry (Spirit of Tasmania) sails each night from Melbourne to Devonport which is a delightful 4hr drive along the ‘Heritage Highway’ tourist route.
The Hotel Grand Chancellor has given us very good rates
Mountain View room $185.00 per night
Harbour View room $220.00 per night
